Submit an Article

Thank you for considering BINEKA (Business, Economics, and Accounting) as a publication venue for your research. BINEKA welcomes original manuscripts in the fields of business and management, economics, and accounting, including research articles, conceptual papers, literature-based discussions, and other scholarly contributions relevant to the journal’s focus and scope.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s official online submission system. Submissions sent through personal email, messaging applications, or other unofficial communication channels will not be processed as formal submissions.

1. Before Submission

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:

• The manuscript is original and has not been previously published.
• The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
• The topic is relevant to the focus and scope of BINEKA.
• All authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission.
• The manuscript follows the BINEKA template and Author Guidelines.
• References and citations have been checked for accuracy and consistency.
• All sources, tables, figures, and data have been properly acknowledged.
• Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted third-party material, where required.
• The manuscript has been checked for grammar, clarity, formatting, and similarity.
• Personal author information has been removed from the manuscript file to support the double-blind peer-review

For double-blind review, the manuscript file submitted for review should not contain author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding statements that reveal identity, or other identifying information in the text, file name, or document properties. Author information should be provided separately in a dedicated identity file or title page, not inside the anonymized manuscript used for review.

2. Scope of Submission

BINEKA accepts manuscripts related to, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Business and Management: financial management, investment decisions, financing, dividend policy, risk management, capital market, marketing management, consumer behavior, digital marketing strategy, branding, international marketing, human resource management, leadership, organizational culture, compensation, entrepreneurship, family business, strategic management, operational management, business ethics, and international business.
• Economics: monetary economics, banking, monetary policy, financial system stability, development economics, regional economics, public and fiscal economics, taxation, budgeting, government spending, international trade, green economy, and sharia economics.
• Accounting: financial accounting, management accounting, cost accounting, public sector accounting, environmental and social accounting, auditing, corporate accountability, and accounting information systems.

The editorial board reserves the right to determine whether a submission is sufficiently relevant to the journal’s disciplinary orientation and academic standards before it is processed further.

3. Required Files

Authors should prepare the following files before starting the online submission process:

• Manuscript file prepared using the official BINEKA template.
• Author identity page containing each author’s name, affiliation, email address, and ORCID iD, where available.
• Copyright Assignment Agreement, if requested by the Editorial Team.
• Research ethics approval, informed consent, research instrument, dataset, or other supporting documents, where applicable.
• Permission letter for third-party tables, figures, photographs, or other copyrighted materials, where required.

The manuscript should be submitted in an editable Microsoft Word format, preferably .docx, so that it can be processed efficiently during editorial review and copyediting.

4. Online Submission Procedure

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the BINEKA journal website. Authors should complete the following steps:

1. Register an account on the BINEKA website as an author.
2. Log in using the registered username and password.
3. Select the author role.
4. Click Make a Submission or New Submission.
5. Complete all required submission information and checklist items.
6. Upload the anonymized manuscript file and all supporting files required by the journal.
7. Enter the article title, abstract, keywords, and author information accurately in the metadata fields.
8. Confirm that the submission complies with the journal’s policies and ethical requirements.
9. Review all information carefully before completing the submission.
10. Click Finish Submission.

After successful submission, authors can monitor the progress of their manuscripts by logging in to their accounts on the journal website.

5. Submit Your Manuscript

Authors may access the submission system through the following official links:

New authors must create an account before submitting a manuscript through the journal system.

6. Editorial and Peer-Review Process

Every submission undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its relevance to the journal, originality, completeness, formatting, methodological quality, language clarity, and compliance with publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned for correction or declined without external review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment will undergo a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two independent reviewers, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to support an objective and fair evaluation.

Possible editorial decisions include:

• Accepted without revision.
• Accepted with minor revisions.
• Major revisions required.
• Resubmit for review.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance for publication. The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on editorial assessment and reviewer recommendations.

7. Author Fees

BINEKA does not charge authors at any stage of the publication process. The journal operates on a no-fee basis for authors, and no charges are imposed for submission, editorial screening, peer review, editing, proofreading, article processing, or online publication.

The organization and publication of BINEKA are fully funded by the Center for Research and Community Service of Universitas Dumai.

8. Important Notice

Authors must use only the official BINEKA website for manuscript submission and editorial communication. BINEKA does not offer paid fast-track review, guaranteed acceptance, or priority publication services, and any suspicious request for payment should be reported to the Editorial Office immediately.
