Copyright Ownership
Authors who publish their articles in BINEKA (Business, Economics, and Accounting) retain the copyright and moral rights to their work. Authors grant BINEKA and Universitas Dumai the right of first publication and the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, index, and disseminate the article in printed, electronic, and other lawful formats.
The authors’ moral rights include the right to be identified as the creators of the work and the right to object to any distortion, alteration, or misuse that may harm their academic reputation.
Publication Licence
Unless otherwise stated, articles published in BINEKA are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).
Under this licence, users may:
- Read, download, copy, and print the article
- Share and redistribute the article in any medium or format
- Adapt, transform, and build upon the published material
- Use the article for academic, educational, professional, and commercial purposes
These activities are permitted provided that users:
- Give appropriate credit to the authors
- Mention BINEKA as the original place of publication
- Provide complete bibliographic information
- Include a link to the applicable Creative Commons licence
- Indicate whether any changes were made
- Do not suggest that the authors or the journal endorse the user or the resulting work

Authors’ Rights
Authors may reuse and distribute their published articles for lawful purposes, including:
- Teaching and educational activities
- Academic presentations and conferences
- Institutional and subject-based repositories
- Personal websites and academic profiles
- Theses and dissertations
- Books, monographs, and subsequent scholarly works
- Distribution to students, researchers, and professional colleagues
Any reuse must include acknowledgement that the article was first published in BINEKA. Authors are encouraged to provide a link to the official journal version or Digital Object Identifier when available.
Third-Party Materials
The Creative Commons licence applies only to materials for which the authors hold the necessary rights. Figures, photographs, tables, datasets, illustrations, or other third-party materials may be subject to different copyright conditions.
Authors are responsible for:
- Identifying copyrighted materials obtained from external sources
- Obtaining written permission when required
- Providing accurate acknowledgements and source information
- Indicating any separate copyright or licensing restrictions
If a credit line states that a particular item is excluded from the article’s Creative Commons licence, permission must be obtained directly from the relevant copyright holder before the item is reproduced or reused.
Author Warranties
By submitting a manuscript, the authors confirm that:
- The manuscript is original and does not unlawfully reproduce another person’s work.
- The manuscript has not been previously published and is not being considered by another journal.
- All listed authors have approved the submission and the final version of the article.
- All quotations, data, figures, tables, and other external materials have been properly cited.
- All required permissions for copyrighted materials have been obtained.
- Publication of the article will not violate any copyright, confidentiality obligation, privacy right, contractual obligation, or other third-party right.
Journal Rights
BINEKA reserves the right to perform editorial, grammatical, technical, and formatting revisions without changing the substance of the article. The journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or other editorial notices when necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
The journal may also submit article metadata and full-text content to repositories, libraries, indexing databases, archiving services, and academic search platforms to support discovery and long-term preservation.
User Responsibility
Users must comply with the terms of the applicable licence and provide proper attribution when using any published content. Plagiarism, misrepresentation, false attribution, and unlawful reproduction are prohibited.
The authors remain responsible for the accuracy, integrity, ethical compliance, and legality of their articles. The opinions expressed in published articles do not necessarily represent the views of the Editorial Board, reviewers, Universitas Dumai, or affiliated institutions.
